CARL LYNN/Associated Press A car driver who was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer and his passenger died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to a report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) said Monday that a trucker was killed when the car they were riding in collided with a semi-tractor-trailers trailer on Friday.
The tractor- trailer had an overturned trailer bed, and the semi-trails overturned on the highway, GDOT said.
The semi- trailer was not damaged in the accident.
A driver of the truck, a 30-year-old man from Cobb County, was killed.
His passenger, a 21-year old woman from Atlanta, was treated for injuries and released.
GDOT’s report did not provide further details.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of I-75 near the exit for I-20 in Georgia’s Greenbelt.
GDot reported that the tractor- trailers trailer’s trailer bed was in a partially submerged position.
